New scarf and rime frost

Yesterday I woke up to the first rime frost of the year. It stayed until around 10 am until it finally gave way to the sun.
I made the scarf with the softest baby alpaca yarn that was given to me from a friend. She brought it with her all the way from Peru. It's knitted flat in one piece, the ends are sewn together and the edges finished with a simple crochet border.

  1. Such a beautiful scarf! I absolutely love the colors.

We just arrived to Maui last night but when we left Finland there was already a lot of snow on the ground! It was such a huge contrast between our home country and this beautiful island. :)

  2. the crochet border looks wonderful on your knit scarf - i think there should be in general, more crochet meets knit projects! it got very cold here too, and I'm thinking of making a scarf for Tom, but I'm still refusing to consider going back to knitting, and wonder whether crochet suitable for men? isn't it always too lacy? happy week, Ida, keep warm!

    1. Hmmm, never thought about men and crochet wear. Maybe a simple neck warmer? I'm pretty sure you'll come up with something genius, you always do :-)
