Hooray for Monday

To celebrate the beginning of a brand new week, here’s what I’m looking looking forward to in the coming days.

//Fairly short days at school (everyone is slowly getting geared up for the exam next week).

//Making this salad.

//Painting my toenails! Grey, I think?

//The last days of early morning light. Got to enjoy it while I can.

Have a great week!

The pictures from top to bottom:
1: I started, and finished, 3 of those x-small hats. Still got a couple to go.
2: Hanging plant. Here's a tutorial.
3: The light Summer sweater is done.

New scarf and rime frost

Yesterday I woke up to the first rime frost of the year. It stayed until around 10 am until it finally gave way to the sun.
I made the scarf with the softest baby alpaca yarn that was given to me from a friend. She brought it with her all the way from Peru. It's knitted flat in one piece, the ends are sewn together and the edges finished with a simple crochet border.

The current state of my table

After a day of sniffles at school I returned home to a dirty kitchen and a messy table. I did nothing but snap a couple of pictures. See above!
I hibernated the rest of the afternoon with books, Grey's Anatomy and soup by my side.

Hooray for Monday

To celebrate the beginning of a brand new week, here’s what I’m looking looking forward to in the coming days.

//Browsing ravelry for hat patterns in size x-small.

//Free bowling for students. Fingers crossed for at least one strike.

//No plans for the weekend.

//Finishing South of the border, West of the sun by Haruki Murakami. It's lovely so far.

Wishing you a fabulous week!

As the rain persists and it gets darker and colder here in Denmark, I find myself longing for San Francisco. I'm struggling with finding a new normal as things slow down and everyday life suddenly is here. It feels so trivial after the whirlwind it has been to start a brand new education and moving halfway across the world. I've always been restless though I like to think of myself as a dreamer. It sounds better.
So excuse me while I drift off to dreams of hilly streets, killer views, tacos and lovely crazy San Franciscans.

A week ago today

Esbjerg, the city I currently live in, is a fairly small town -though with it's population of around 70.000 it's actually the 5th biggest city in Denmark. I consider myself somewhat of a city girl so I'd lie if I told you that I was thrilled about living here. I do have high hopes that someday I'd want to move to the countryside because it's cheaper and healthier I believe. But until then I'll make sure to escape to the big city as often as I can to spend time with my sister and do big city stuff.
Do you prefer the city or the country?

Hooray for Monday

To celebrate the beginning of a brand new week, here’s what I’m looking looking forward to in the coming days.

//Starting on a couple of new knitting projects. My knitting needles have been resting for too long.

//Visiting my sister. Visiting Aarhus. Visiting my sister in Aarhus!

//Pub crawl for all new students here in Esbjerg. I've never tried a pub crawl before but hey, there's a first time for everything.

Have a lovely week!
