Christmas Cookie Weekend

A couple of weeks ago, my sister and I went to GrenĂ¥ to visit our mormor for our annual Christmas Cookie Baking weekend. We started early (hence the PJ-bottoms in the last photos) and were done after just a couple of hours. Finishing the cookie adventure by eating her famous 'frikadeller' for lunch.
I love that last picture. Self-timer when it's best!

Christmas Cookies

Just a few shots from our annual Christmas baking day at my 'mormor's house. More to come once I get around to editing the rest of the bunch.

Budapest

Budapest was thermal pools, heat, walking, cake eating, bus rides, sauna, giant croissants, sister, gorgeous old houses, blisters, sunshine, cheap food and beautiful views. We loved it.

Birthday Girl

My sister turned 24 on Friday. Twentyfour! In my head she's still 12 and spending most of her time at the stables caring for her horse.
I talked her into some birthday pictures at the fields next to our parents house. She's so natural in front of the camera and so so beautiful.

Italy. No 1.

Italy was sun, cobblestoned streets, the first ocean swim of the year, lasagna, bare legs, the cutest little baby boy, dancing, conversations in Italian and Danish, coffee (cappucino for me), pizza, laughter, dogs, crazy drivers, baptism, sandals and late evenings.

Vacation time

I'm almost one week into my School Summer Holiday. It's such a welcome feeling knowing that for the next 8 weeks I don't have to study - and, more importantly, I don't have to feel guilty about not studying! I started my summer job yesterday. My family and I are flying down to Italy on Saturday, then I'm going back to work, the Washington D.C. and New York, then work, then Budapest, work and then school. As you can read; I've got so many things to look forward too.

It's Friday

These pictures are a couple of weeks old. Farmor celebrated her birthday and invited us for dinner and ice cream. She's getting older, though she's refusing to tell us exactly how old.
I love that top photo of my dad. He's laughing at a silly joke that he just made up. He'll come up with these random jokes that really aren't that funny but he'll laugh so hard that in the end we'll all laugh with him.
I've still got a couple of weeks left of school, we're working on a small project which we then have to defend in an oral exam. Looking forward to it's all over, I'm not good with oral exams. Good thing I have trips planned to Italy, Budapest and Washington DC/New York to look forward to.

I'm obsessed with instagram as of late which explains why I haven't spent a whole lot of time on blogging these last months. My username is idafwl if you'd like to follow along. Or you can see more here.

Copenhagen adventures

Spring has finally arrived here. Last weekend my sister and biked around Copenhagen with sun in our hair. The nice weather made everyone spill out onto the street for walking, drinking coffee in the sunshine and shopping. Most definitely a perfect recipe for huge goofy smiles.

Also, look who's got a new phone.
