12 on a Sunday

 Christianshavn on a grey day.

My Italian 'brother', Guido, is waiting for his son to be born next month. I'm knitting this cardigan for little Alesandro.

Leisurely talks with a friend on a cafe close to Strøget.

Frost!

Obsessed with knitting these hats.

Sign

Tea, grapefruit and knœkbrød with cheese.

I love this picture of my mormor, it looks like her. She's usually impossible to photograph because she never really relaxes in front of the camera, but this time 'I got her!'.

House facades.

I was in California when they had lessons in giving injections at the hospital. Luckily my roommate is a midwife and she used her morning teaching one of my fellow students and I how to do it; first on a grapefruit, then on her thighs. She's a brave lady!

Golden afternoon light.

Mini Mac DIY

When I started school last year we where told to bring name tags so that the teachers could call us by name. I kept loosing mine and seeing as I always used my computer in classes I turned it into a portable name tag (using washi tape).
Last week I saw some triangle stickers at Søstrene Grene and decided to change the look. Simple and quick.

Holiday

Tonight is my last night in Esbjerg. I'll be spending the next 5 months in Copenhagen where I'll be doing part one of my clinical internship at a nearby hospital. I'm equally excited and terrified about the internship but somehow it feels just like the right combo. However the only feeling I have about moving to Copenhagen is excitement, I'm ready to live in the 'big' city.

Eat like a queen

Feasting after my morning run with eggs, bacon and skyr. I just started running. I'm not a runner but since figuring out that I'll be at a hospital in Holbœk (small town fairly close to Copenhagen) for my clinical internship, there's really no other option. There's no fitness center there, or there's no fitness center with decent classes, and since I don't want to get out of shape 5 months out of the year for the next 3.5 years* I'm determined to become a runner. Or at least a person who likes running.
I'm using this app which I highly recommend. It's really simple and has a great routine of Run-Walk-Run-Walk and then gradually builds up to longer stretches of running -and less walking. I'm 2 weeks in and still going strong.

Also, I could be a vegetarian if it wasn't for bacon. I don't think I could ever give that up.

*The bachelor program of Midwifery here in Denmark is 50% school and 50% clinical internship at a hospital.
